Programme Manager

Hanwha Phasor have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to support the business and work closely with the Project Engineering Managers (PEM’s) to capture engineering schedules and produce the full business milestone and tracking matrices, reporting up to senior management progress and KPI’s   

As a Programme Manager, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative products. In this role, you will be responsible for the program plan/schedule and manage program execution, including: 

  • Release management – lead the release cycle – internal PEM’s and with all external interfaces. 
  • Initiate, lead and facilitate, R&D operations planning, related to processes, tools, and continues improvement 
  • Deliver executive communication/presentations and drive the decision-making evidence gathering process effectively and consistently for senior management reviews
  • Communicate overall program status. Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies, and program issues quickly and effectively
  • Define, measure and track KPIs to ensure continuous improvement 
  • Participate in major technology selection processes, facilitating the legal and financial aspects
  • Working with our engineering teams to define, schedule, track and communicate status of all work taking place within those teams 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience required 
  • Project/programme related qualifications
  • Advanced degree in business administration, MBA an advantage 
  • Experience in Hardware and software development operations (PMO) or Release/Program Management within a hardware company
  • Experience in the management of Satcoms or Airborne related business
  • Familiarity with different project management and development life cycles in hardware and software companies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc…) 
  • Excellent understanding in operations or project management practices, techniques, tools, and methodologies 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with presentation skills 
  • Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities Preferable Qualification 
  • Experience in external relations with Stakeholders and sub-co’s 
  • Strong degree of knowledge with legal compliance and contract management 
  • Ability to work with the procurement team in order to develop a full interdependencies matrix with progress reporting 
  • The production of detailed risk management capture and mitigation plans 
  • Experience with managing the Infrastructure aspects of projects

Hanwha Phasor Ltd’s Technology Centre is based in modern, open plan offices with great views, in the vibrant area of Hatton Garden, London.  

For transport we have excellent connections, with Farringdon, City Thameslink and Kings Cross St Pancras over ground stations within walking distance, and Chancery Lane and Farringdon tube stations within a 5-minute walk.
